Introducing The Shrewsbury Cake Trail, an exciting new event taking place in March 2022. This event is a trail around Shrewsbury's town centre, aiming to promote some of Shrewsbury's best bakeries and cafes. The trail will allow attendees to visit 7 different bakeries which will act as checkpoints. Attendees will be given a welcome pack upon arrival which will contain a booklet featuring a scoring card allowing attendees to rate and score the different bakeries to determine the "People's Choice Baker of Shrewsbury".

Tickets must be purchased prior to the event and cannot be purchased on the day.

We need your help to determine the People’s Choice Baker of Shrewsbury 2022! Join us at the Shrewsbury Cake Trail on Saturday 12th March in Shrewsbury’s town centre for a fun filled day out of delicious cakes and treats from some of our town’s best bakeries and cafés!

All proceeds will be donated to the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund.

All of our bakeries are located in the centre of Shrewsbury. With so many amazing places to choose from it's hard to decide who to visit first on our trail...

Lingen Davies Cancer Fund has been delivering and improving services for cancer patients throughout Shropshire and Mid-Wales for more than 40 years. Originally set up to bring cancer treatment and services to local patients at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, it has over the years funded services, invested in additional health professionals, purchased new technology, equipment, and part-funded a dedicated Cancer Centre at the hospital site.

The Lingen Davies Cancer Centre now sees over 4,000 newly diagnosed patients a year and their continued investment in the facility means it can offer more treatments to patients closer to home. They have also recently completed the build of three additional clinic rooms - increasing the capacity for daily appointments.

In addition to this they are growing their work in the community through the LiveLife Cancer Awareness project which is designed to bring information about cancer to people in the street, workplace, at community events, and more. Their team of fully trained health professionals are working to deliver the message that if someone has any health concerns they should seek advice from their GP immediately. In terms of receiving a cancer diagnosis, subsequent treatment options, and overall outcomes, the earlier someone seeks medical help the better.
